We have said that Windows 8 is a complete reimagination of the Windows operating system. Nothing has been left unexplored, including the Windows logo, to evaluate how it held up to modern PC sensibilities. The Windows logo is a strong and widely recognized mark but when we stepped back and analyzed it, we realized an evolution of our logo would better reflect our Metro style design principles and we also felt there was an opportunity to reconnect with some of the powerful characteristics of previous incarnations.

AMD Showcases Alternative to Intel’s Thunderbolt
After a slow start Intel’s Thunderbolt (also known as Light Peak) technology is starting to gain popularity among the OEMs, with Apple being the first and biggest proponent of the technology so far. Now it seems AMD wants a piece of this action as well, so they have come up with their own variant of the technology, called Lightning Bolt.

Facebook Messenger is now available for Windows
Facebook has just released the Messenger app for Windows 7. It’s been available for iOS and Android for some time too
The app does exactly what it’s supposed to do – bring the Facebook
chat outside Facebook. But there are a few more features too.

Intel planning to bring Thunderbolt Technology to PCs by April 2012
The Thunderbolt technology, developed by Intel in collaboration with
Apple, has great potential but so far has been limited to Apple’s
computers. Soon, however, that will not be the case.
Digitimes is now reporting that Intel has notified its
partners that the company will fully release the technology in April
2012, with several first-tier PC manufacturers already planning
motherboards, notebook and desktop PCs to be released with Thunderbolt
next year.

Microsoft Unveils Windows 8
13th Sep, 2011, At its developer focused BUILD Conference Microsoft is showcasing the latest major release of its wide spread OS - dubbed Windows 8. It features a new UI- Metro Style, which looks like an overgrown version of its WP7 smartphones. There are several improvements on performance, security, privacy and reliability and more.

Samsung Series 7 laptop Has Quad-Core i7
Samsung showed off the Series 7 laptops, which will keep the
Series 7 Slate PC company. The laptops come in 14″ and 15.6″ flavors and
go up to quad-core Core i7 and to make sure the powerful CPU is busy,
there’s an 8GB SSD cache for the hard drive.

Razer Announces Blade, Their 1st Ever Gaming Laptop
A few days back Razer had launched a website, pcgamingisnotdead.com,
where they talked about how, well, PC gaming is not really dead and that
it is superior to console gaming. They also put up a counter on their
site that hinted at an upcoming product but it wasn’t clear what it
would be. But we know now.
