Honda CBR500R details, specs, price and launch in India

The latest addition to the Honda CBR family will be the 500cc parallel twin cylinder CBR500R, making it the second entry level sports tourer bike after the CBR250R. Honda is still riding on the grand success of the CBR250R and bike has gained popularity in many upcoming markets around the world including India.

The latest trend of the Japanese manufacturers of upgrading their small displacement bikes with slightly bigger capacity engines has started to take a pace and recently after Kawasaki introduced the new Ninja 300 and 400, Honda decided to play the same ball in same manner and announced the CBR500R.
The upcoming CBR500R has been announced in US with a price tag of Rs. 3 lac which is slightly higher than the CBR250R. The DOHC powered engine produces 53 Bhp of maximum power creating a new segment of such bikes in the market.

Honda plans to power two other bikes comprising of a naked and a street moto bike powered by the same engine. With current market situation in India and with the grand success of the CBR250R, Honda is expected to keep the same price strategy in the country which will almost kill the current Ninja 250R in India which currently carries almost the same price tag as of the Honda CBR500R in US.
